A receipt is proof that a payment was received. Customers need it for expense claims and bookkeeping; you need a copy for your records. This generator produces a simple, professional receipt PDF with everything both sides expect.
What to include on a receipt
- Your business name, address and tax ID (where applicable)
- A receipt number and the date of payment
- Who paid (“Received From”)
- What was paid for - itemised lines, tax and total
- The payment method (cash, card, cheque, bank transfer) and a “paid” indication
Receipt vs invoice
An invoice asks for payment; a receipt confirms it. If you issued an invoice first, create the receipt from it with one click - the lines and customer are carried over and the document is marked as paid in full.
